York offers 15 days of top quality Flat racing every year, including the Ebor Festival that takes place over 3 days in August.

It is a Flat only, left handed, galloping track. Two miles long, with a run-in of 5 furlongs, chutes for 6 furlong and 7 furlong starts.

This is considered a very fair test and often seems to suit horses who like to run all the way.

As one of the world's most premier tracks, it highlights 3 day Ebor meeting (August). The International Stakes, the Yorkshire Oaks and the Nunthorpe Stakes with the Ebor Handicap a popular attraction.

York also stages a meeting in May, featuring key trials for the Derby and the Oaks.

Draw Advantage:
Low to middle numbers best on the straight track, especially when soft going prevails.
