Newmarket hosts the spring Classics, the 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas, and the 3 day July meeting.

The July course features the Group One July Cup, the most valuable 6 furlong contest in Europe.

Day in October attracts the very best performers with the 7 race card featuring the Champions Stakes plus the Dewhurst Stakes that often decides the leading European juvenile.

Draw Advantage:
Rowley Mile - Any advantage in the draw is dependent on the position of the stalls.

Known the HQ of Flat racing, Newmarket has 2 courses, the Rowley Mile and the July course. On the Rowley Mile, all races from 5 to 10 furlongs and are run on the straight with a dip over a furlong out with a stiff uphill finish.

All races over 1.25  miles are run right-handed. The track requires stamina and balance from the thoroughbred.

All meetings taking place during June, July and August are run on the July course, again with a straight 10 furlongs and a right-handed turn for races beyond this trip.
