Newcastle Racecourse has 32 meetings of both the Flat and National Hunt seasons and is located just off the A1 with ample free parking.

Highlights include the 3 day Northumberland Plate Festival in June, the Beeswing Ladies Dayin July, the Tote Eider in February, the Pertemps Fighting Fifth Hurdle in November and the Blaydon Races in August.

The standard of racing is normally a good level with the feature races being the Northumberland Plate with the Gosforth Park Sprint running at the same meeting in June.

Draw Advantage:
Low numbers are best on the straight course in soft or heavy ground.

A dual purpose Flat and National Hunt track that is a left handed oval track of 1 mile and 6 furlongs. it has a steady uphill climb to the finish line. It can be very testing and the emphasis can be on stamina. The track is galloping by nature and the fences be tricky.

Contact: Newcastle Racecourse, High Gosforth Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE3 5HP.
