Lingfield Park is located in the Surrey countryside. It is the only all weather Polytrack course in the UK that offers year round Flat racing. Lingfield also has a turf track, and stages Jump meetings from December through to March end Lingfield enjoys racing all year with the Flat fixture in May featuring the Derby and Oaks trials, which are an important pointer for the Epsom Classics due to the similarity of the 2 tracks. The all weather season culminates in the Winter Derby, attracting the best 1.25 mile horses in March. Draw Advantage: High numbers are best in the sprints. A left-handed, sharp undulating Flat and National Hunt track that has an all-weather course located within a grass circuit. On the turf, there is a straight 7.5 furlongs with low numbers preferred when the ground is soft. There is a high draw an advantage when the ground is quick. The emphasis is "speed" on the all weather track where the surface is very lively with a short run-in of just over 2 furlongs, suiting the front runners.
