Haydock Park is the premier year round racecourse in the North West. It boasts  with great racing from January to December with 127 acres of parkland .

Draw Advantage:
High numbers have an advantage. In 5 furlong and 6 furlong races on soft ground.

Haydock Park is as oval, flat course that measures  1mile and 5 furlongs, with a straight 6 furlong course joining the round course  4.5 furlongs out. The 1.5 mile start is on a spur past the winning post.

The galloping course suits the long striding horse, particularly those who can stay.

If the rain gets into the ground the stands side usually rides faster and it is not uncommon for jockeys to track over.

The fences on the chase course are stiff with many drops. There is an open ditch and a water jump that are omitted on the final circuit, leaving a run-in of 440 yards. The hurdles course has sharp bends and is located inside the chase track.

The flat season's highlight at Haydock Park is the Sprint Cup. This  is held at the end of the campaign, whilst the chase course stages several big handicaps over the year.
